The Practical Nursing Program at Pennsylvania Institute of Technology (P.I.T.) in Media, Pennsylvania, has partnered with West Philadelphia Achievement Charter Elementary School (WPACE) as a clinical site for senior nursing students to provide wellness visits and health education. Wellness visits are important to help support the healthy development of children and include vital signs, height, weight, hearing, and vision screenings. The wellness visits also may help identify any potential health issues that may need to be further addressed. In support of this partnership, senior nursing students will host a Student Health Fair at the end of May to educate the students on health and social topics from personal hygiene to stranger danger and more!
